Sarah Lent graduated from Syracuse University with a BS in Inclusive Elementary and Special Education and a BA in History. After graduating she moved back to Chicago to teach for Chicago Public Schools. There she worked with students K-8 with special needs in the inclusive setting and as an interventionist. In 2010 she completed her Masters of Arts in Learning Sciences at Northwestern University. Her studies focused on teacher learning and special education reform. While in graduate school, Sarah worked at a special education district supporting schools to restructure their special education and intervention services. Upon completion she returned to Chicago Public Schools as a special education teacher at a K-8 math and science academy that served students from neighborhoods across Chicago. She is excited to be in New York and joining the team at PAVE!
