Monisha Newbon was born in San Diego, CA. After high school, she attended UC Davis and received a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and African American studies. Monisha worked at two different schools after college. She has taught and tutored 6th, 7th, and 8th graders at MATCH middle school. This year, Monisha is teaching Social Studies and ELA to PAVE’s 5th grade scholars.
