Kasey Johnson graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies and Spanish. She began her experience working in education during her undergraduate career by teaching English Language Learners to read at a Community Center in Nevada. She later traveled to Spain and Costa Rica to study Spanish and tutor kindergarteners. Upon graduation, Kasey joined Teach for America where she had the privilege of working as a 3rd and 4th grade instructor in a New Orleans Charter School.
