Jeremy Abarno, PAVE’s Elementary School Principal, knows that high standards and great teaching is the key to academic achievement for our students. Jeremy works closely with PAVE teachers and PAVE scholars to make sure that they are learning at the highest possible level. Mr. Abarno has worked in public education in New York City for thirteen years both as an elementary school teacher in district schools and as an administrator in charter schools. He has seen the capability for success from students and families in the South Bronx, East Harlem and The Lower East Side, and is very excited to work with the children of Red Hook on their way to college. Jeremy earned his BA in Education from New York University, his Master’s Degree in Special Education from City College and his Certificate in School Building Leadership from Baruch College. Jeremy lives in Brooklyn with his wife and two children.
