Cooper Westendarp graduated from Wake Forest University where he studied English and Financial Accounting. After working in finance, Cooper transitioned to teaching through the Johns Hopkins Masters in Teaching program. Cooper then moved to south Florida to help found a high school as an English teacher and later moved to New York City in order to study the growing charter school movement. While finishing his Masters in Education Leadership at Columbia University, Cooper began working on PAVE’s startup team as the school’s Founding Director of Finance and Operations and now serves as Chief Operating and Financial Officer of PAVE and its affiliate organizations. Cooper lives in Manhattan with his wife, has participated in Columbia University’s Executive Coaching Certification Program, and is an active member of Redeemer Presbyterian Church.
