Ben graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2011 with a degree in Journalism and Global Studies. As a junior at UNC, Ben had his first experience as an educator while teaching summer school in New Orleans with the Breakthrough Collaborative. Upon graduating Ben completed a 1-year urban education fellowship as a teacher assistant and tutor at the MATCH Charter Public Middle School in Boston, MA. He then moved to Brooklyn to begin teaching at PAVE, and is incredibly excited about teaching 1st grade. He is currently pursuing his Master of Arts in Teaching at the Relay Graduate School of Education.
