PAVE Academy Core Values
At
PAVE Academy, we believe that all students can achieve at high levels.
- Students must be great readers from an early age to achieve future academic success.
- Being proficient in math and reading for the state tests is a baseline goal. We want students to be passionate about learning, critical thinkers and creative individuals.
PAVE Academy’s core academic program centers around:
- Over 2 hours of literacy and over 1 hour of math each day
- Two certified or highly qualified teachers in each classroom
- Small, individualized reading groups
- Targeted, small-group instruction from a learning support specialist
- Use of computer-based educational programs to reinforce classroom learning
- An extended school day and year
PAVE Academy also focuses on the whole child by:
- Emphasizing a core value each month and reinforcing key social lessons through character education classes
- Providing a full-time social worker
- Taking the students out of the classroom for enriching experiences
- Making art, music, and physical education classes part of the daily schedule
